TabPie Privacy Policy

Effective: August 14, 2026

TabPie is a browser tab-navigation extension. This policy explains what information TabPie handles and how that information is used.

Information TabPie handles

To display the radial tab switcher, TabPie accesses information about tabs in the user's current browser window, including tab titles, URLs, favicon URLs, tab identifiers and state, and tab-group metadata such as group titles, colors, and collapsed state.

How the information is used

This information is used only to build the TabPie interface, search and preview the user's open tabs and tab groups, identify active and previously active tabs, activate the tab the user selects, and perform tab-management actions explicitly requested by the user.

Local processing and retention

Tab information is processed locally in the user's browser. TabPie does not transmit tab titles, URLs, browsing activity, favicons, tab-group information, or other browsing data to the developer or to third parties. TabPie does not maintain a remote database of browsing information.

TabPie stores one local preference indicating that the user accepted the first-use privacy disclosure. This preference remains in the browser's extension storage until the extension's local data is cleared or the extension is removed. TabPie also stores only the current and previous tab identifiers in session-only extension storage so the previous-tab feature can continue to work if Chrome suspends the extension service worker. These session identifiers are cleared with the browser session; TabPie does not store tab titles or URLs in extension storage.

Analytics, advertising, and tracking

TabPie does not include analytics, advertising, behavioral tracking, profiling, or sale of user data.

Sharing

TabPie does not sell, rent, or share user browsing data with third parties.

Remote code

TabPie does not download or execute remote code. The extension's executable logic is packaged with the extension.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Changes to this policy

If TabPie's data practices change, this policy and the extension's disclosures will be updated before those changes are introduced.
